Every year, HSLNKC recognizes member libraries with its annual awards, and presents HSLNKC Service Certificates to members who have worked to help our organization fulfill its mission. Other awards recognize HSLNKC members for their accomplishments at the regional and national level.

Excellent Return on Investment - Excellent Return on Investment Award is to honor a library that has made an outstanding return on the budgetary investment made in its operation. This return is calculated on both the financial savings incurred on behalf of the patients and the less tangible impact on care as determined by reference to the professional literature.

Barbara McDowell Award - The Barbara McDowell Award was established in her memory in 1984. Barbara was Chief of Library Services at the Sioux Falls, South Dakota Veterans Administration. The award honors a chapter member who has made an outstanding contribution to hospital librarianship.
